first_img Facebook Pinterest Home News Community More snow and ice warnings issued by Met Éireann NewsCommunity Rugby Twitter Ten Laois based players named on Leinster rugby U-18 girls squad Twitter RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR Another snow and ice Status Yellow Weather Warning has been issued by Met Éireann for the whole of Ireland today.The Status Yellow warning is in place for later tonight and on Sunday, wintry showers will give accumulations of up to 3 cm of snow, with larger amounts on higher ground.The warning is valid until 11.59pm Sunday 11 February.Wind warningThere is also a wind warning in place for Leinster, Munster and Galway until 10pm tonight.Tonight is expected to turn cold with scattered sleet, snow and hail showers. Frost and icy patches will develop also in sheltered areas by morning.Lowest temperatures of -2 degrees Celsius.Sunday will be a cold, bright day with sunny spells. Scattered heavy wintry showers of hail, sleet and snow will occur also with some accumulations of snow over high ground.Daytime temperatures will be a chilly 1 to 4 degrees Celsius.On Sunday night, wintry showers will continue with accumulations of snow in places. Frost and icy patches will develop also.
