Kenmore gets green light for Oxford Street pub redevelopment

first_imgThe building, at 28 South Molton Street, is going to be redeveloped in a joint venture with Appley Properties into a 5,300 sq ft shop, 4,600 sq ft of offices and three apartments over six floors.Westminster Council welcomed the ‘bold’ architecture of the scheme, designed by David Saunt and Deborah Hills Architecture.Councillor Alistair Moss, chairman of Westminster City Council’s Planning and City Development Committee, said: ‘The bold and adventurous design of this building will undoubtedly add further style and elegance to one of the most fashionable streets in London. ‘In these times of economic hardship, new buildings must work hard to add character, vitality and appeal to Westminster, for the millions of visitors we have every day.’Kenmore Capital had a previous application for the site refused permission in November 2008 because ‘the design was of insufficient quality’last_img
