Eminox announces first CVRAS accreditation for Volvo B9R

first_imgLincolnshire-based retrofit solutions company Eminox, was at the show highlighting that it is the first company to be approved for the Clean Vehicle Retrofit Accreditation Scheme (CVRAS) for the Volvo B9R, with just six months to go before the London Ultra Low Emission Zone comes into force.The company has announced it will work with Hampshire-based luxury coach hire firm, Lucketts Travel, among others, to retrofit its coaches to ensure it meets Euro 6 standards across its fleet.Carlos Vicente, Retrofit Sales Director for Eminox, says: “Eminox was the first company to gain CVRAS accreditation on buses and we’ve now achieved another first on coaches with the Volvo B9R.”“Eminox leads the market in emissions reduction for buses and coaches and our presence at Euro Bus Expo demonstrates our commitment to the sector – and plans for the future.”While at the show, the company was also raising awareness that Chancellor Philip Hammond visited its Gainsborough headquarters, to learn about the its vehicle emissions reduction technology.The Chancellor visited on 30 October, a day after delivering the autumn budget, which promised £20m in additional funding for air-quality measuresMr Vincente added: “Choosing to come to Eminox demonstrates the importance of our market-leading retrofit technology, based on our 40 years of experience and unrivalled emissions control expertise from design to manufacture.”To act as a focus for its work in the coach market, Eminox has also launched its new Clean Air Zone Retrofit Development Centre.last_img
